A bright, cheerful apartment for a young couple that fills with positive energy. We love this project because it wasn't the first time we worked with our clients, so we immediately understood each other and had the freedom to be creative.
We started with the redevelopment. We combined the kitchen and living room to achieve a sense of lightness and freedom in a large space. To enhance this effect, we filled the apartment with a large number of interior windows, which partially erase the visual boundaries between the rooms, fill them with additional daylight, but maintain physical separation. Despite the small size of the apartment, we managed to find a good place for a workplace near the window, which can be made more private by closing it with a curtain.
As for the color scheme, we chose a fairly large palette of colors - they make the interior special, full of emotions and accents, because if we left only white and wood, we would have a typical Scandinavian-style apartment, and we wanted a brighter interior. To make the interior not too pastel, we added black metal details to the custom-made tables, interior windows, etc. At the same time, the rounded shape of the chairs softens these straight lines and angles. All this together successfully balances the style and mood of the room.
Despite the small size of the bedroom, we managed to make it ergonomic and comfortable. We kept the passages necessary for comfortable movement, placed a wardrobe with plenty of storage space, a double bed and bedside tables. Light colors and interior windows, which additionally let in daylight, also add to the sense of space. We decided to avoid the most typical options for bedside lamps and chose those hanging from the ceiling, with an unusual shape and playful mood - they resonate perfectly with the space.
We made the bathroom more restrained than the rest of the rooms, primarily in terms of colors. But thanks to the bee-comb tiles, the room does not look austere, so it fits well into the overall atmosphere of the apartment.
